I wanted you to know how fortunate I feel to have had the assistance of Lindsay Ward to help me with my recent purchase of my Phonak hearing aids. Her technical expertise was superb. But more than that, she is a highly professional person with great communication skills and a very personal, caring, and patient approach. More than that, she was also fun to work with, which made the entire experience relaxing and enjoyable!

I am confident that I have made the right choice for my hearing health and I am very pleased to have met Lindsay!

I would like to take this opportunity to express thanks for the very professional help I received from Lindsay Ward, Dr of Audiology. Lindsay was sensitive to my particular hearing loss and helped me understand that there was a chance that I could recover some hearing loss with newer hearing aids. She was clear to not over-promise improvement but suggested there was a good chance I could be helped. I am a retired engineer so, of course, I asked all kinds of questions. Lindsay was very helpful in answering some of them and emphasizing that I should primarily focus on how the new aids might help.

I am very thankful for the concern Lindsay had for my particular situation and the time and effort that she spent working with me.

I have a serious high-frequency hearing loss and have tried hearing aids twice; the last time approximately 7 years ago at your facility. When recently seeing Dr. Carr on another matter, he had Lindsay check my hearing. She verified that I still had the same loss as documented before at her office. She explained that in the 7 years since I had experimented with hearing aids, there were some significant improvements in technology. After explaining these advances, I decided to try out a pair of the newer hearing aids. The result of this attempt is that I did not perceive a significant improvement in my ability to understand speech in difficult situations with newer hearing aids. I am so thankful for having had the chance to try out the new technologies and am satisfied that, with current technologies and my hearing losses, I am as good as I can get without hearing aids.

Again, Thanks to Lindsay for her caring help.

I told Lindsay that the quality of her service was “off the charts” regarding Satisfaction; it is a tough pill to swallow to have to spend $6000+ for hearing aids. It then becomes most alarming when you first wear them and find out they do not seem to be what you had hoped. However, then I remembered that my audiologist, Lindsay Ward had told me “do not judge these until I get them totally programmed to meet your unique individual needs.” First, Lindsay had found I was not wearing them correctly in that I was not inserting them in far enough. Then I was disappointed they did not seem to be solving my problem with hearing the television and other voices only to remember we were starting at only 70% of the capacity to get my “brain used to the new sounds” before increasing it to 100% which took another two visits. Finally, I developed terrible static in my right ear, and through careful analysis, Lindsay found the right one of my new hearing aids was malfunctioning; Lindsay replaced it with a new hearing aid and solved the problem instantly. She subsequently sent me an updated purchase warranty with the new Serial # for my records. Lindsay told me she would call me after the visit where I received the new hearing aid to check on my progress. I received such a call as promised and I was happy to tell her my results had now exceeded my expectations. I did tell her that the only minor issue was I wish the background “crowd noise” could be less. Again, Lindsay re-scheduled me reminding me that she had said at our first visit post receiving my new hearing aids that after all other issues were resolved she would re-program my aids to automatically diminish the “crowd noise.” I will be in a couple of weeks to accomplish this last remaining issue. This is service at its best. It just so happens that two years ago my brother in Phoenix had purchased hearing aids for $4500 and when I went to see him two weeks ago, he was not wearing them as no one met with him post-purchase as Lindsay met with me to address all issues. When I told Lindsay this, she volunteered to consult with my brother if he was ever in Denver as long as he brought with him the necessary information for Lindsay to be able to properly program his now unused hearing aids. That is above and beyond the call. Sadly, my brother was so disillusioned and unhappy he is unwilling to take up the offer from me and Lindsay if he would come to Denver—regardless, totally above and beyond the call. This note is to tell you that because of my experience with Lindsay, I have already given her name to two of my close friends—I hope they are more receptive to my recommendation than my brother. Thanks, Lindsay, Jerome (Jerry) Buckley, MD. Please share this note with my long-time colleague, Patrick Carr, MD.

For almost twenty years I’ve had the necessity to wear hearing aids. I’ve had almost every type, in-the-ear, and over-the-ear, both digital and non-digital.

Although I’ve had many fine audiologists over this time, the staff at Denver Hearing Specialists has been the very best. Since being fit with the Phonak over-the-ear digital hearing aids, I’ve been able to enjoy the cinema, live theatre and many restaurants with a hearing clarity that had been missing for more than 15 years.

The audiologists at Denver Hearing Specialists will work with you until you have just the right hearing aids for your personal needs. They will make sure that you are totally satisfied with your particular hearing aids.

The audiologists at Denver Hearing Specialists are the best at what they do. Their interest in my hearing loss has changed my life!

Henry – Littleton, CO

My first contact with Denver Hearing Specialists occurred after I had been referred to them after experiencing some mild tinnitus.

The audiologists conducted a thorough examination and determined that I had some hearing loss in my right ear.

After deciding what type of hearing aid was appropriate, my audiologist worked with me to determine the different settings that would be programmed into my aid. I have four programs, by the way, one for everyday use, one for when I’m driving, a “mute” setting and my “choir” setting which allows a 360-degree reception of sound so that I can better hear my fellow choir members who surround me. My choir director and fellow singers got a kick out of it when I told them about that setting.

During my entire experience with my audiologist, she was friendly, caring and professional. And that attitude continued during my follow-up visits to have the settings “tweaked”, asking the kinds of questions that would ensure that I had the best possible hearing.

I can’t thank the staff at Denver Hearing Specialists enough. They have enriched my life.

There were times over the years that I knew something should be done to help my hearing loss but it was something I didn’t pursue.

Then, after meeting and being evaluated by the audiologists at Denver Hearing Specialists, I decided to accept the proposal for hearing aids and am glad that I did. Although not providing a perfect answer to hearing loss they have certainly provided improvement and for which I am certainly grateful. The staff has been more than helpful and dedicated to my best interests.

I cannot say enough good things about hearing aids. I have otosclerosis and lost a substantial amount of hearing in my 30’s. I thought our phones were not working properly, people were mumbling, and my family was not listening or responding to my questions.

A hearing test proved otherwise. The audiologists assured me I would see a dramatic improvement with hearing aids, but they were expensive, and I felt I was too young to be wearing hearing aids. Well, they are the best investment I have ever made. I always say if my house were to catch fire and I could only save one item, it would be my hearing aids! I can hear normally when I wear them, even in noisy environments and most people don’t even notice I’m wearing them.

The audiologists at Denver Hearing Specialists have been wonderful. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. It’s amazing how they can fine-tune my hearing aids to meet my individual hearing needs. If there is a certain situation that seems too loud or soft, the audiologists always say, “Come in, we can adjust that”. And they are right.

One great thing is the 75-day free trial. It is a big investment and I was apprehensive when I ordered mine, thinking, what if they don’t really help? My audiologist assured me I could try them for 75 days and get a full refund if I wasn’t happy. So, really what do you have to lose?

It had always been my firm observation that hearing aids were clunky, unsightly, gross hardware specifically for old and/or infirmed folks. Further, that once you secured two of these bulky, funny-shaped monstrosities, you were on your own…no support, no ongoing advice…no way to solve a problem or seek assistance.

Now, not true!!!

I have found that all of these preceding opinions are absolutely not the case…Thanks to the caring and expertise of the team of audiologists at Denver Hearing Specialists. They introduced me to modern technology. They fine-tuned and updated my amazingly, small, computerized hearing aids as I became more adjusted to “hearing again!!” They have continued to support me and my new found capability. Truly, they are the best!!

Lindsay Ward of Denver Hearing Specialists changed my life! Before I came into see her about my serious hearing loss, I had tried on two previous occasions other hearing aid companies. Both times, the hearing aids I purchased ended up in my dresser drawer. Each of them blasted me continually with sound, and I could not tolerate the constant barrage of sound assaulting me. So, they sat in that drawer for weeks, months and then years. I had basically given up.

Then, my doctor recommended Lindsey. I went to see her with a pretty sour attitude. I thought I was in for the same kind of experience. Instead – I have for five years now been living with my new best friends: hearing aids that truly aid me. It took me about 5 days to acclimate to these fabulous aids, and then, I rapidly was living a whole new life.

With Lindsay’s help, I now am able to attend important business meetings without having to ask my partner to come along to insure that I am hearing things correctly and completely. Now, I am able to attend social and family gatherings without having to pretend that I am following conversations, or worse, making embarrassing mistakes in what others are saying to me. Now, I look forward to my nature walks, hearing sounds of birds, squirrels and tree breezes that I had totally missed before. My life is so much fuller!

So, I write this in hopes my experience will give someone else, suffering the way I was, the courage to give Lindsay and Denver Hearing Specialists a try! Their hearing aid technology, complete testing, compassionate understanding, and ongoing fine turning and support will be like none other tried before! Let Lindsay work with you, and you too will be back to living fully again!

With gratitude,
Lindsay’s Client for Five Plus Years
